Island Life
Welcome to Photography 2014! I can’t believe were entering our 4th year of photography at NCS. The first three years have been amazingly successful and I can’t wait to see what you will come up with this year. I am so excited for what we have scheduled for this year. Our theme for the year is Island Life. I hope to be able encourage you to discover the world around you, connect with the elements of God’s creation and….Do something about it! Our goal is to use our photography for the power of good and in some way leave a positive impact on our Island. We will be working on fundamentals as well as pushing you to experiment and try new things. We have a number of exceptionally talented people coming in to share their knowledge and excitement; and of course inspire you. We will also be taking part in in the third annual ‘Future Famous’ which will give you an opportunity to showcase you work, as well as the silent auction. I am also very excited to have Matt Lineker, yes that Matt that sits beside you in class as the assistant teacher for this course. He’ll be sharing his knowledge and experience with you, helping plan the day to day lessons and work one on one to improve your photography. This is a great opportunity for everyone. We’ve got tentative list of dates for the field trips ahead. Some may be rescheduled based on weather or unforseen circumstance but for the most part we’ll try and stick to this.
Be sure to bring your camera EVERY DAY, even the first day!
You will also be responsible for working on your photographer research projects. For complete info and a list of photographers download the link Photo essay project 2014
